Morning in the Mountains

No one would ever describe me as a morning person.  But when you wake up in the mountains and get outside to such incredible scenery, well, it certainly wakes you up!  Had a very enjoyable morning walk around the mountains with Mae.  There was sun, blue sky and fresh snow.  A few photos....

The fog is starting to roll in now, which is fairly common here, but we will get out again later for some more snow fun!   Hope your Groundhog day is going well!

  1. Love when the clouds surround the mountains like that. Definately great way to wake up.

  2. Isn't it beautiful? Especially when the other 29 days of the month are foggy/snowy/rainy!

  3. Absolutely. How do you not have outdoor adventures when you have that beauty all around you.

  4. We got about 9 inches of new snow overnight but now it's raining a bit....Beautiful but the snow is SO heavy! Last night we were out while it was snowing and it's so much fun to just walk around the deserted streets.
I'm always envious of your trail runs....so pretty! Until I think about how hot it is :)

  5. Haha it's only got 3 months out of the year. The other 9 months is paradise. Should be 70°-80° this weekend....perfect running weather :)

  7. Ran super early Sunday before church so it was a bit cold for my desert blood. Feet are bothering me, no bueno

  9. My feet are too! I hiked to the top of the mt today and back down in my lousy snow boots. A foot massage would feel so good right now! I was trying to tire out the dog but all I did was wear myself out! I hope your feet feel better soon!

  12. Not quite New feet but the massage does feel great. Excellent advice. Was able to run three miles last night and besides general soreness, things are feeling good.
