Hyak Hike
Just a quick share of photos from our election day hike up to the top of Hyak. GORGEOUS day. It was a bit too warm for November....on top of the mountain in sneakers? But it was fabulous. Hopefully we will have snow soon though!

Yikes where is all the snow lol. Gorgeous views. Is this a hard to reach area? Where are all the other people??
ReplyDeleteha ha, all good questions! Where's the snow? that's what we are wondering. Though we got a little last night, just a dusting. Hoping for some more over the next few days. No, it's a very accessible area. I can walk a block to the base of the ski area, there are dirt roads you can drive almost all the way to top. But people don't go up there, just locals mostly. outsiders go hiking on trails that are nearby. Other than a half dozen ski area employees working on the lift, I only ran into one other person! And he was a local neighbor out on his mountain bike!Literally hundreds of miles of roads and trails out there! (You'd love it, oh wait, too cold for you!)
ReplyDeleteSounds amazing but you are absolutely right...too cold. It was 60° this morning for my run and I was wearing compression pants and a t-shirt. I have this warm AZ blood lol
