A few snapshots to sum up our holiday season....

Coffee in Seattle @ Voula's Offshore Cafe

tree decorating went well!

Unwelcome Christmas guest....the flu!

DRU BRU, our new LOCAL brewery has opened!!

We had a "big storm" forecasted for this past weekend, up to 22 new inches....well, we ended up with a bit of slush. We got maybe one inch here at the bottom of Hyak.  The ski area has partially opened despite the ruts, rocks, brush and bare spots.  You won't find me up there until the coverage is WAY better!!  It's very disappointing....but nothing a little post-holiday shopping didn't help....

New socks, a foam roller, and margarita bloks!

Enjoy the rest of the Holiday week!!  If you've got snow?  Ride for me!!

  1. The flu sucks, hopefully it's gone and you can get back to regular activities.

That local brewery looks awesome, do they sell the beer in take home pints or anything like that?

The snow week come don't worry. How do you get runs in when there is tons of snow?

  2. Yup! 7 beers on tap right now and growler fills! They also have root beer. No food tho :( When there's snow here in the mts a short drive west (towards Seattle) results in bare ground and milder temps! So good running is available year round even in a normal snow year.

  3. On our trip up north the slopes were frozen ice, I so badly wanted some micro spikes to run up and down the slopes.

I guess we have running weather year round too lol

  4. I DO have some snowshoes! that makes for a fun run when the snow is just right! It's 14 here this morning and lots of ice! spikes would be a good idea....Have a great New Year's Eve! When our kids were little we used to watch the festivities in NY and make them be on east coast time so we could go to bed early! It took them years to figure it out....duped!
